About Us

Empowering the next generation of African innovators through hands-on STEAM education, design thinking, and entrepreneurial skills.

Why We Exist

Africa is entering a defining demographic decade. By 2050, the continent is projected to have the largest workforce in the world, with one in every four workers globally being African. This demographic shift represents a significant opportunity for economic growth for the continent, but only if the workforce is prepared with the right skills.

Unfortunately, however, current trends indicate a widening gap between population growth and workforce readiness. According to projections, fewer than 20% of young people in Africa receive adequate, applied STEM education that aligns with the demands of emerging industries.

At the same time, technological advancement now outpaces the speed at which traditional educational curricula can adapt. Without targeted intervention, Africa risks having the numbers but not the skills required to remain competitive in a technology-driven global economy.

The STEAMINA program was developed in response to this context. It provides students with practical exposure to engineering, AI and robotics, design thinking, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills that are essential for navigating and shaping the future of work and innovation on the continent. By introducing these competencies early, the program supports the development of a prepared, resilient, and innovation-ready workforce.
